In the only match of the National Hockey League, New Jersey lost to Washington on - 4:6. Hosts' forward Jack Hughes scored three assists in the second period. Hughes became only the third player in NHL history to record three assists in the same period on two consecutive days. The last time this was done was by the great Wayne Gretzky in 1986.
