Tottenham Suffer 0-4 Humiliation to Bayern Just Six Days Before UEFA Super Cup Final
Tottenham Hotspur endured a heavy 0-4 defeat to Bayern Munich in a pre-season friendly in Munich — just six days before their UEFA Super Cup showdown against Paris Saint-Germain. The North London side, managed by Thomas Frank, were outclassed in every department, conceding four goals from just eight shots on target.
Kingsley Coman opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a powerful left-footed strike, and just minutes later, Michael Olise delivered a stunning long-range assist to Harry Kane, who made it 2-0 against his former club.
Bayern’s young talents also impressed, with 17-year-old Lennart Karl and 19-year-old Yona Kusi-Asare scoring in the second half. Karl struck with his left foot in the 74th minute, while Kusi-Asare curled a beautiful finish into the top corner in the 80th.
Despite the dominant scoreline, Kane missed a penalty in the 15th minute and was denied by a close-range save from Tottenham keeper Visario in the 66th.
Tottenham's marquee summer signing Luis Díaz, who arrived from Liverpool for €75 million, played 76 minutes but failed to make an impact. He was replaced by 16-year-old academy prospect Wisdom Mike.
Spurs were also toothless in attack — their best chance fell to Richarlison, who missed a free header in the 69th minute. This result follows a mixed pre-season campaign, which included wins over Arsenal (1-0) and Reading (2-0), but draws with Newcastle, Luton, and Wycombe.
