Chelsea - Tottenham 0:2

Tottenham Hotspur claimed a memorable 2-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, capitalising on a costly goalkeeping error from Mike Penders before Mathys Tel sealed the win with a superb finish. The hosts' misery was compounded by a red card for Cole Palmer, leaving the Blues to finish the London derby with 10 men.

The victory marked a significant turnaround for Spurs, who had ended their winless run in the Premier League with a midweek victory over Coventry City. They followed that result with an even more significant achievement: their first top-flight win away to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge since the 2017-18 season.

The breakthrough finally arrived in the 77th minute, when a costly mistake from goalkeeper Mike Penders resulted in an own goal that handed Tottenham the advantage. The setback left Chelsea chasing the game, and their task became even harder when Cole Palmer was sent off after receiving a second yellow card for stepping on Conor Gallagher’s ankle.

Mathys Tel put the result beyond doubt in the 87th minute. Breaking forward down the left flank, the Spurs attacker produced a brilliant finish into the bottom corner, securing all three points for the visitors.
