Olympique de Marseille continued their strong pre-season form under new head coach Roberto De Zerbi, securing an impressive 3–1 victory over Aston Villa in a high-energy friendly.

The match kicked off in explosive fashion, with both sides finding the net inside the opening eight minutes. Mason Greenwood put Marseille ahead in the 5th minute, showcasing why he’s expected to play a key role this season. John McGinn quickly equalised for Villa with a well-taken finish just three minutes later.

But it was second-half substitute Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who stole the spotlight. The former Arsenal and Barcelona striker came on and netted twice in quick succession — in the 76th and 79th minutes — to seal the win for the Ligue 1 side.
