Negotiations between the clubs stretched throughout the summer

Paris Saint-Germain have reached a full agreement with AFC Bournemouth for the signing of Ukrainian centre-back Ilya Zabarnyi, according to trusted transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.

The deal will cost the French giants a total of €67 million, with Zabarnyi expected to sign a five-year contract with PSG. The 21-year-old has already travelled to Paris for his medical and will be officially unveiled in the coming days.

Negotiations between the clubs stretched throughout the summer, with PSG eventually increasing their offer by €17 million to seal the deal. Zabarnyi becomes one of the most expensive defenders in the club’s history, and the second-highest fee ever paid for a Ukrainian player — only behind Mykhailo Mudryk’s €70 million transfer to Chelsea in 2023.
