Chelsea fans got a glimpse of the club’s promising future

Chelsea fans got a glimpse of the club’s promising future as two of their exciting new signings — Estevão and João Pedro — scored their first goals at Stamford Bridge, sealing a comfortable 2–0 win over Bayer Leverkusen in pre-season action.

It didn’t take long for the Blues to get going, with teenage sensation Estevão opening the scoring in the 17th minute. Chelsea controlled the tempo for much of the match, but couldn’t find a second goal until the dying moments.

With Leverkusen pushing forward late in search of an equaliser, João Pedro put the game to bed in the 90th minute, calmly slotting a low finish into the bottom-right corner.
