Valencia - Deportivo Alaves 3:2

Valencia CF produced one of the most dramatic turnarounds of the La Liga season, scoring twice in stoppage time to snatch a remarkable 3–2 victory over Deportivo Alavés at Mestalla.

The visitors made a dream start under new head coach Quique Sánchez Flores. Just two minutes into the contest, striker Lucas Boyé calmly converted a penalty to give Alavés an early lead and silence the home crowd.

Valencia responded after the break. Midfielder Javi Guerra restored parity early in the second half, bringing the hosts back into the contest and lifting the atmosphere inside Mestalla.

However, the game appeared to swing back in favour of the visitors in the 89th minute. Lucas Boyé struck again to complete his brace, seemingly delivering the decisive blow for Deportivo Alavés. Frustration among the home supporters boiled over, with sections of the crowd voicing their anger toward head coach Rubén Baraja. Moments later, Mariano Díaz had a golden opportunity to seal the result but somehow missed an open goal.

Deep into stoppage time, Valencia CF launched a sensational comeback. In the 95th minute, defender Eray Cömert rose inside the penalty area to fire home the equaliser, sparking wild celebrations among the home fans.

Yet the drama was far from over. Three minutes later, the referee pointed to the penalty spot, and striker Hugo Duro kept his composure to convert from twelve yards, completing a stunning 3–2 turnaround in the 98th minute.
