Eindhoven earned a fantastic victory over the mighty Italian side

The match that left a lingering tension in the air concluded with a remarkable victory for PSV Eindhoven – a 3-1 win in extra time, securing a 4-3 aggregate triumph for Peter Bosz's side.

The first half was dominated by the visitors, with Juventus defending impeccably. But in the second half, the hosts' relentless football was finally rewarded. The tireless Jordan Teze found Ivan Perišić in a quick counter-attack, and the Croatian struck again against Juventus, scoring for the second consecutive match with a reminder of his Inter Milan days.

A stunning strike from Weah after the ball rebounded just outside the penalty arc leveled the score at 1-1 on the 63rd minute.

It seemed like Juventus had managed to contain the Dutch side, but PSV Eindhoven found another gear and broke through their defense once again. The villain of the evening for the Italians, Perišić, broke free in the box, passing to Luuk de Jong, who couldn’t get a shot off. However, the ball found its way to Ismael Saibari, who hammered it into the net from just five yards out.

The battle continued into extra time, where Juventus suffered an unfortunate mishap. After a cross from Tiemoué Bakayoko, defenders Gatti and Di Gregorio failed to clear the ball, allowing Florian Wirtz to pounce and score directly into an empty net – 3-1.

Juventus had a late chance to salvage the game, but Dusan Vlahovic's shot hit the post. In the end, PSV Eindhoven earned a fantastic victory over the mighty Italian side.

Next up for PSV is either Arsenal or another Italian giant, Inter Milan.
