Shakhtar did what was expected of them - secured their first victory in the current Champions League season.

The mood for the game against Young Boys was understandable. No matter how many people say that there are no weak opponents in the Champions League, Young Boys is not a top team. However, the visitors' fans had the same thoughts about Shakhtar.

If we compare it with the previous matches, the Donetsk team started the game more actively. The more unexpected was the conceded goal - in the 27th minute, Bondarenko made a gross mistake near his penalty box, and Imery, having moved forward, shot low. The ball rolled almost in the centre - Riznyk's mistake was also to blame for the goal.

Fortunately, Shakhtar still have Sudakov. The Miners quickly got back into the game and took the lead before the break. First, Shakhtar's leader did everything to ensure that Zubkov almost headed the ball into the empty net. And then, after 41 minutes of play, Sudakov reached the penalty line and put the ball into the far bottom corner.

The second half can be divided into two parts. In the first, Shakhtar were still trying to create some urgency and at times they managed to do so. But in the last quarter of an hour, Young Boys became more active. In the end Shakhtar survived and won - 2-1. Let's hope that the Miners have started a new serie - now a winning one.
