Second summer training camp of Shakhtar started in Slovenia

On August 3, FC Shakhtar footballers and coaching staff arrived in Slovenia where the second summer training camp of the team will take place. The Orange-and-Blacks took up a residence at the training ground of local Football Federation in Brdo. This is where the Ukraine national team was living and preparing for World Cup 2022 this spring. The Miners have high-quality football pitches, gym and spa complexes for recovery procedures.

The team has begun to work immediately. The starting session was hold already in the evening. Prior to session start, everyone congratulated Anatolii Trubin with his birthday (the goalkeeper turned 21 no August 1). Igor Jovicevic gave a motivational speech that competition must push every person and every player, thus moving them forward.

Training session was started from stretching, warming-up and squares. Then the team switched to ball possession and tactical drills. When the main part of the session was over, some players decided to attend gym for individual work-out, the other ones recovered in the ice-cold pool.

Shakhtar will play the charity match against Italian AS Roma on August 7. Meet will take place as a part of the Shakhtar Global Tour for Peace in Rome at the Stadio Olimpico. Kickoff is at 21:45 Kyiv time.

Proceeds from the sale of tickets and advertising will be used to purchase everything necessary for the defenders of Ukraine, Ukrainian citizens and children affected by the war. A total of UAH 13.2 million has been raised through the 5 charity matches played in the spring.
