Nottingham Forest Seal €30M Deal for Juventus Midfielder
Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Douglas Luiz from Juventus in a deal worth around €30 million, according to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Brazilian midfielder is expected to arrive in the UK later today, provided the paperwork is finalised in time. A medical could take place as early as Thursday, Romano adds.
Juventus had initially signed Luiz for €50 million last summer, but the Italian giants have opted to cash in after receiving several offers — including lucrative bids from clubs in Saudi Arabia. However, Luiz reportedly turned those down, insisting on staying in European football to continue competing at the highest level.
