St. Pauli - Borussia D 3:3

Borussia Dortmund were left stunned on the opening day of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season after surrendering a two-goal lead in a chaotic 3-3 draw against newly promoted St. Pauli in Hamburg.

Strong Start from the Visitors… Then Total Collapse

Goals from Serhou Guirassy, Waldemar Anton and Julian Brandt looked to have put the game to bed by the 74th minute, giving Dortmund a comfortable 3-1 lead.

But the momentum shifted dramatically after Philipp Calixte Mane was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge, reducing the visitors to ten men.

St. Pauli Seize the Moment

St. Pauli wasted no time capitalising on the numerical advantage, scoring twice in just three minutes to complete a comeback. The home crowd erupted as Dortmund’s defence crumbled in the closing stages, forcing Nico Kovac’s side to settle for a single point.
