Reports today indicate that the club has reopened talks with the representatives of Andrea Pinamonti

Napoli have reportedly cooled their interest in signing either Rasmus Højlund or Artem Dovbyk, with both strikers deemed too expensive for the Serie A side, according to multiple sources in the Italian press.

Manchester United forward Højlund had been identified as a potential replacement for the injured Romelu Lukaku, but Napoli have balked at the valuation set by the Premier League club. Likewise, interest in Artem Dovbyk — currently with AS Roma — has also cooled due to the high transfer fee required to secure the Ukrainian international.

Instead, Napoli have turned their attention to a more financially viable option. Reports today indicate that the club has reopened talks with the representatives of Andrea Pinamonti. The Sassuolo striker is available on a loan deal with a potential purchase clause, making the move significantly more manageable under Napoli’s current budget.

The 26-year-old Pinamonti spent last season on loan at Genoa, scoring 10 goals in 36 Serie A appearances. His proven experience in the Italian top flight and availability on flexible terms make him a realistic target as Napoli look to reinforce their attack ahead of the new campaign.
