The British media previously claimed that Mudryk may have tested positive for a banned substance while on international duty with the Ukraine national team

The Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) has firmly denied any connection to the ongoing case surrounding Mykhailo Mudryk, after BBC published an in-depth investigation into the matter. As part of their reporting, the BBC sought comment from UAF officials—receiving a carefully worded, but ultimately cautious response.

To recap, the British media previously claimed that Mudryk may have tested positive for a banned substance while on international duty with the Ukraine national team. In response, the UAF issued an official statement, distancing itself from the allegations.

"UAF officials are unable to comment on this matter, as the UAF is not involved in the case," the statement reads. "Neither the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) nor the English Football Association has submitted any formal inquiries to the UAF. We are in close contact with Mudryk's legal team and are providing them with all necessary information. Due to confidentiality regulations, we cannot offer further comments at this time."

However, the UAF did issue one unequivocal statement to dispel any speculation:

"None of the UAF’s officials, staff members, medical personnel, or coaches are involved in this case."
