Bodø/Glimt completed a convincing victory over Dutch side NEC Nijmegen to book their place in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League. Having already secured a 3-1 win in the first leg, the Norwegian champions delivered another dominant performance on home soil.

Any hopes of a comeback effectively disappeared after just three minutes. Gonzalo Crettaz, the NEC Nijmegen goalkeeper, was shown a straight red card after handling the ball outside his penalty area, leaving the visitors to play virtually the entire match with 10 men.

Bodø/Glimt eventually made their numerical advantage count before half-time. Fredrik André Bjørkan opened the scoring before Sondre Auklend doubled the hosts' advantage, leaving NEC Nijmegen facing an almost impossible task. The Norwegian side added a third after the break when Deveron Fomhiel turned the ball into his own net, putting the final result beyond doubt.
