Arsenal managed to secure a 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers

In a dramatic and hard-fought match, Arsenal managed to secure a 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers despite playing with 10-man.

Oleksandr Zinchenko once again found himself on the bench, and the young player who replaced him at left-back, 18-year-old Lewis-Skelly, nearly became the villain of the match. The teenager received a red card in the 43rd minute, becoming the third-youngest player in Premier League history to be sent off, behind Wayne Rooney (17 years and 63 days) and Michael Owen (18 years and 117 days).

Despite being reduced to 10 men, Arsenal held firm, and Wolves failed to capitalize on their numerical advantage. The match lacked clear chances, and the hosts’ hopes of a comeback were further dashed when João Gomes received a second yellow card in the 70th minute, leveling the playing field once again.

The decisive moment came from Riccardo Calafiori, who stepped into the left-back position vacated by Lewis-Skelly. The Italian defender made a clever run into the box and fired a low shot off the post to secure the winning goal for Arsenal.
