Parviz Nasibov won the second Olympic medal in his career

Parviz Nasibov became a two-time silver medalist at the Olympic Games. In Paris Ukrainian wrestler repeated his achievement three years ago at the Tokyo Games.

In the decisive bout of Greco-Roman wrestling in the up to 67 kg category, Nasibov was opposed by the Iranian Said Esmaili Leivesi. The 25-year-old Ukrainian got off to a great start and by the break was leading 3:0, however at the beginning of the second half the Iranian very quickly won back his handicap, forcing Nasibov to actively move forward again. In a tense ending, the Ukrainian did everything possible, but lost - 5:6.

Titled Ukrainian Greco-Roman wrestler Zhan Belenyuk today held the last fight of his career. In the match for bronze at the 2024 Olympic Games, Belenyuk defeated Pole Arkadiusz Kulinic - 3:1.

Thus, Belenyuk became a winner of three Olympic medals: in 2016 the Ukrainian won silver, in 2021 in Tokyo he became an Olympic champion, and in 2024 in Paris he got a bronze award.
