Real Madrid secured a convincing 3-0 away victory over Racing, maintaining their pursuit of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid at the top of La Liga.

The opening goal came from the penalty spot, although the decision to award the spot-kick sparked questions. Mbappe made no mistake from 12 yards, giving Real Madrid an early advantage and allowing them to dictate the tempo of the contest.

Real continued to dominate possession, with Guler and Bellingham proving particularly influential. The Turkish midfielder produced a perfectly weighted pass to send Bellingham through one-on-one with the goalkeeper, and the England international calmly finished to double the visitors’ lead.

Diomande added the finishing touch with a powerful strike from the edge of the penalty area, making it 3-0 and putting the outcome beyond doubt.
