Liverpool claimed a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in a dramatic Matchday 17 encounter in the Premier League, overcoming injuries, dismissals and late pressure to secure all three points.

The visitors struck first through Alexander Isak, but the opening half was overshadowed by chaos for the home side. Xavi Simons was shown a straight red card before the break, leaving Tottenham a man down.
