Tuesday night saw plenty of action across Europe

Tuesday night saw plenty of action across Europe as the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round kicked off with 13 matches. The outcomes were as dramatic as they were diverse — from a jaw-dropping 7-1 thrashing by Lech Poznań over Icelandic side Breidablik, to a goalless Balkan showdown between HNK Rijeka and Ludogorets Razgrad.

With the second legs scheduled for next week, most ties remain wide open. The battle for a coveted spot in the 2025/26 Champions League group stage is heating up, and for many clubs, the dream is still very much alive.
