Shakhtar captain Taras Stepanenko summed up yesterday's match against Barcelona speaking to UEFA.com:

"I think we can be proud of our performance given that we were playing against one of the best teams in the world. In the end, perhaps, we could have got a draw, but I think we can feel confident about how we tried to compete."

"Our coach says he prefers us to be courageous, to play ambitiously. At first, perhaps, we weren't quite as confident as we'd like to have been. But with all the passing minutes, we played with more and more self-confidence, and I think it showed."
