Grazie, Rocco: Fiorentina Secure an Emotional Win

“Grazie, Rocco” — the message printed on the shirts of Fiorentina players before kick-off said it all. Football briefly stood still as La Viola took to the pitch away at Bologna, united in grief after the passing of club president Rocco Commisso, who died at the age of 76.
It was a night charged with emotion, but also with purpose. Channeling their sorrow into performance, Fiorentina produced one of their finest displays of the season, earning a deserved 2–1 victory on the road.
The visitors dominated large spells of the first half and made their superiority count. Rolando Mandragora set the tone with a composed finish, before Roberto Piccoli doubled the advantage, rewarding Fiorentina’s intensity and attacking intent.
Bologna pushed late on, and substitute Giovanni Fabbian pulled one back in the 88th minute to set up a tense finale. But Fiorentina held firm, seeing out the win with resilience and unity.
