AC Milan have identified their next manager, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reporting that the Serie A giants have reached an agreement with former Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim.

The Portuguese tactician is expected to sign a contract running until June 2028, with an option to extend the deal for an additional year until June 2029.

For the 41-year-old, the move offers an opportunity to relaunch his coaching career following a difficult spell at Manchester United.

Amorim arrived at Old Trafford in late 2024 amid high expectations but struggled to deliver consistent results during a challenging period for the club. His tenure came to an end earlier this year after a disappointing league campaign and growing tensions surrounding the team's direction.
