UEFA Names Best Goals of the Week in the Champions League
UEFA has revealed the nominees for the best goals of the week in the Champions League round of 16 second legs. Fans are invited to vote for their favorite on UEFA's official website, with four stunning strikes making the shortlist.
The nominees are:
- Oleksandr Zinchenko (Arsenal): The Ukrainian midfielder opened the scoring in Arsenal's 2-2 draw against PSV Eindhoven with a beautifully curled shot into the top corner. The goal was his first in the Champions League.
- Maximilian Beier (Borussia Dortmund): The young striker scored the winning goal in Dortmund's 2-1 victory over Lille, securing their place in the quarterfinals.
- Marco Asensio (Aston Villa): The Spanish forward netted a brace in Villa's 3-0 win against Club Brugge, with his first goal being a standout moment.
- Kuhayb Driouch (PSV Eindhoven): The PSV striker equalized against Arsenal in the 70th minute with a clever chip over the goalkeeper, though it wasn't enough to overturn the aggregate score.
