Liverpool a hard-fought victory and extending their lead over Arsenal

In the 25th round of the Premier League, leaders Liverpool hosted Wolverhampton Wanderers, who were 17th in the table.

The first half was smooth sailing for the Reds. In the 15th minute, Luis Diaz passed to Salah, who sent a ball into the box. A fortunate deflection allowed Diaz to bundle it over the line with his stomach, putting Liverpool in front.

Then, in the 37th minute, Diaz was brought down by the goalkeeper, earning a penalty. Mohamed Salah confidently converted to double Liverpool's advantage. This goal marked his 30th in all competitions this season.

The second half saw Liverpool continue to push for more, but Salah's second goal was ruled offside, and a penalty earned by Diogo Jota was overturned after a VAR review.

Wolverhampton, who had been poor in the first half, came out revitalized after the break. The visitors created a number of dangerous chances. Eventually, Matheus Cunha curled a beautiful shot into the bottom corner to pull one back for the Wolves.

The match's turning point came in the 89th minute when Quansah blocked a vital shot from Munetsi, preventing Wolves from grabbing an equalizer. The match ended 2-1, giving Liverpool a hard-fought victory and extending their lead over Arsenal to seven points in the title race.
