Liverpool showcased their resilience with a crucial 3-1 comeback victory over Leicester City, extending their lead over Chelsea to seven points. Under manager Arne Slot, the Reds continue to strengthen their case as Premier League title favorites, with a game in hand bolstering their position.

The match didn’t start well for Liverpool, as Leicester took an early lead. In the sixth minute, Jordan Ayew skillfully turned inside the box and fired into the bottom corner, leaving Andrew Robertson trailing. Despite dominating possession (70% to 30%), Liverpool struggled to create clear chances in the first half. Efforts from Cody Gakpo (off the post) and Mohamed Salah (off the crossbar) highlighted their frustrations.

However, Liverpool managed to equalize before halftime. Gakpo drifted in from the left, and curled a stunning shot into the far corner to make it 1-1.

The second half saw a revitalized Liverpool take control. Early on, Curtis Jones tapped in a precise cross from the right to give the hosts the lead. Salah sealed the victory in the 82nd minute, driving a low shot into the far corner after a swift counterattack.

For Ruud van Nistelrooy, Leicester’s struggles continue, with his side unable to register a single shot in the second half. Meanwhile, Liverpool maintains their dominant form, firmly atop the Premier League table and showing no signs of slowing down.
