Lewandowski to miss Poland's first match at Euro-2024
Polish Football Association has officially announced that national team striker Robert Lewandowski will miss the team's first match at the European Championship.
The reason is the thigh injury that the Barcelona forward suffered in yesterday's friendly match against Turkey (2:1).
“Robert Lewandowski suffered a torn thigh biceps, which excludes him from participating in the first match of the tournament. We are doing everything so that Robert can play in the second match against Austria,” said the Polish national team doctor Jacek Jaroszewski.
The match between Poland and the Netherlands will take place on June 16 and begin at 16-00 Kyiv time.
