Lazio - Inter 0:3

Inter Milan, already wearing the crown of Serie A champions, delivered another commanding performance by sweeping aside Lazio 3-0 at the Stadio Olimpico in what served as a high-stakes rehearsal for the upcoming Coppa Italia final.

With the two sides set to meet again on Wednesday in the battle for silverware, Inter wasted little time asserting their authority in Rome. Returning to the starting lineup, captain Lautaro Martínez opened the scoring early in the match, calmly finishing a precise assist from Marcus Thuram to silence the home crowd.

Lazio struggled to contain the pace and movement of the reigning champions, and just before half-time Petar Sučić doubled the visitors’ advantage with a clinical finish that left the hosts reeling.

The contest effectively ended when defender Alessio Romagnoli received a red card, a dismissal that not only damaged Lazio’s hopes in this match but will also rule him out of the upcoming derby clash.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan added the finishing touch in the second half, completing a ruthless display from Inter Milan and underlining the dominance of Cristian Chivu’s side during their impressive winning streak.
