Torino bounced back in style after their disappointing defeat to Udinese, edging past Sassuolo in a dramatic Serie A encounter that perfectly captured the fighting spirit of the Turin side.

The visitors arrived with several changes to their starting XI, but it was Torino who seized control early on. Young forward Alieu Njie came agonisingly close to opening the scoring when his powerful header rattled the crossbar twice in the same passage of play, leaving the home crowd stunned.

Sassuolo, however, remained dangerous on the counter-attack. Efforts from Andrea Pinamonti and Luca Lipani forced goalkeeper Alberto Paleari into a series of composed saves as the contest developed into an intense tactical battle.
