Napoli - Sassuolo 1:0

Napoli claimed a crucial 1–0 win against Sassuolo, ending a three-game draw streak and reasserting themselves in the Serie A title race. However, the victory came at a significant cost, with three key players forced off due to injuries.

The match was effectively decided in the opening minutes. On the 7th minute, Eljif Elmas drove forward and unleashed a shot that Boris Murić managed to parry, only for Stanislav Lobotka to pounce on the rebound and fire the ball under the crossbar, giving Napoli an early lead.

In the second half, Sassuolo pressed for an equaliser, but Napoli responded with rapid counter-attacks. Vanja Milinkovic-Savic proved vital, making several key saves to maintain the clean sheet and preserve the lead.

Yet the headlines weren’t all positive for Napoli. Injuries struck at inopportune moments, with Elmas, Amir Rrahmani, and Matteo Politano all forced off during the match. With Champions League fixtures looming, these absences pose a real challenge for Antonio Conte and his squad.
