Inter Smash Torino 5–0 as Marcus Thuram Bags Brace
Inter Milan couldn’t have asked for a better start to the new Serie A season, dismantling Torino 5–0 at the San Siro with a commanding, all-round performance that saw Marcus Thuram shine with a debut brace.
The reigning champions wasted no time asserting their dominance. Just minutes into the match, defender Alessandro Bastoni opened the scoring with a towering header. The momentum stayed firmly with Inter, and Thuram doubled the lead before half-time with a composed finish—effectively ending any hopes of a Torino comeback before the break.
Torino came out with more intent after the interval, but their reaction was short-lived. Lautaro Martínez, ever the big-game performer, struck early in the second half to make it 3–0 and seal the result. Inter’s hunger didn’t stop there—Thuram added his second of the night before Yann Bisseck "Bonnie" completed the rout with a late fifth.
