Manchester United - Wolverhampton 0:1

Just days after a spirited comeback in the UEFA Europa League, Manchester United were brought crashing back to reality with a disappointing 1-0 defeat at home to a resurgent Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

The only goal of the game came courtesy of a moment of brilliance from Pablo Sarabia, who curled a sublime free-kick into the top corner, leaving André Onana with no chance and silencing Old Trafford.

It was Wolves’ fifth straight win in the league — their longest such run in over 50 years. With this result, they are now just one win away from equaling their all-time record, which they could match in their next fixture against Leicester City.

Meanwhile, Ruben Amorim's side continue to struggle domestically. United now sit 14th in the Premier League table - their best shot at redemption this season lies in winning the Europa League, which would secure a direct place in next season’s Champions League.
