Manchester United Complete €80m Deal for Carlos Baleba

Manchester United have officially completed the signing of Cameroon international midfielder Carlos Baleba from Brighton & Hove Albion in a deal worth €80 million. The 22-year-old successfully completed his medical in the north of England before putting pen to paper on his contract with the Old Trafford club.
The move represents another major investment in midfield for Manchester United. The Red Devils have now committed a total of €177 million to strengthening the centre of the pitch, with Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans also arriving as part of an ambitious rebuild.
For Carlos Baleba, the transfer represents the next major step in a rapidly developing career. The former Lille academy player will also link up with Cameroon team-mate Bryan Mbeumo at club level, adding another familiar face to the new-look squad.
Manchester United are returning to the UEFA Champions League after a two-year absence, and the club will be hoping Baleba can provide the physical presence, energy and defensive strength needed in the middle of the pitch. He leaves Brighton after making 112 appearances in all competitions, ready to test himself at the highest level of European football.
