The head coach of Dynamo Kyiv Mircea Lucescu in an interview with the Romanian media commented on the first part of the season:

- In all the matches we played the same way, the problem was in our players - they traveled for 7-8 hours. It was very difficult to get used to it. It was hard for us, we lost to Benfica, which, as you can see, looks good now.

These bus rides ruined everything for us. We lost some important points and you could see the lack of reaction from the players. We weren't concentrated, we were losing matches at the end - in the 93rd and 94th minutes. It was the same in the Europa League with Fenerbahce and Rennes. I had a serious conversation with the players and said that we should return those points that we so easily lost.

We had so many conversations, but after the Benfica games, to be honest, I wanted to leave. It's not easy for me at my age to travel 10 hours on a bus. I'm used to fights for titles, but I got into a situation where I could not control what was happening. But I stayed, I thought it was not normal to leave, especially with what my players are going through.
