Lens Make History with First-Ever Coupe de France Triumph

Lens etched their name into French football history with a stunning 3-1 victory over Nice in the Coupe de France final at the iconic Stade de France.
The triumph caps off a remarkable season for Lens, who also secured a second-place finish in Ligue 1 and booked their return to the UEFA Champions League. For head coach Pierre Sage and his squad, the long-awaited trophy marks the beginning of a new era after the club had previously suffered heartbreak in three separate cup finals.
The final itself delivered drama and attacking football from the opening whistle. Florian Thauvin opened the scoring for Lens before Odsonne Edouard doubled the advantage prior to half-time, putting the blood-and-gold side firmly in control.
Nice responded after the break through Dibril Coulibaly, giving their supporters hope of a comeback. But as the match opened up in the closing stages, Abdallah Sima delivered the decisive blow to seal a famous victory for Lens and send the travelling fans into celebration.
