Harry Kane Extends Bayern Munich Contract Until 2029

Harry Kane has committed his future to Bayern Munich, signing a new long-term contract that will keep him at the German giants until the summer of 2029. The 33-year-old England captain has agreed to extend his stay in Munich, underlining his importance to the club and its long-term ambitions.
Kane joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023 for a reported €100 million. Since arriving in Germany, the prolific striker has scored 156 goals in 161 competitive appearances, helping Bayern win two Bundesliga titles and the German Cup.
His remarkable scoring record has also brought individual recognition. Kane became the first Englishman in 25 years to win the Ballon d'Or and matched Peter Shilton’s England appearance record, taking his international caps to 125.
The striker revealed that feeling settled in Germany played a major role in his decision to sign a new deal.
“I feel at home at Bayern. I love the club, the fans and Munich itself. We have a fantastic squad and a brilliant manager in Vincent Kompany. My family is absolutely happy here, so staying was something I really wanted. I’m looking forward to what lies ahead and want to win many more trophies together,” Kane said.
According to reports from Sky Germany and AZ, the new agreement is the most lucrative contract in Bayern’s history. It is understood to guarantee Kane earnings exceeding his previous annual salary of €25 million.
Journalist David Ornstein has also reported that Kane now leads European football in terms of basic salary, although some other high-profile players may earn more overall when bonuses and additional payments are included.
