Manchester United ended their winless run with a dramatic comeback victory over Roma in a thrilling Champions League clash at Old Trafford. The Italian visitors looked firmly in control during the first half, building a two-goal lead through clinical finishes from Matías Soulé and Donyell Malen, who converted from the penalty spot.

However, Roma lost their grip on the contest after the break, allowing familiar European frustrations to resurface. Bruno Fernandes pulled one back from the penalty spot after being given a second opportunity to take the kick, breathing new life into United’s challenge.

The momentum swung decisively in the hosts’ favour when a deflection off Leonardo Balerdi fell kindly for Matheus Cunha, who restored parity. With Old Trafford roaring behind them, United pushed for a winner — and Cunha delivered, completing his brace late in the game to seal a remarkable 3-2 triumph.
