Slavia Praha - Arsenal 1:2

Arsenal secured a 2-1 victory over Slavia Prague in the fourth round of the Champions League, managing their workload after a demanding Premier League clash against Liverpool. Mikel Arteta made several changes to his starting line-up, but the Gunners still did enough to take control of the contest before half-time.

Noni Madueke opened the scoring after being set up by Viktor Gyökeres. The Swedish striker then got on the scoresheet himself, doubling Arsenal’s advantage following a well-worked move involving Mikel Merino. The visitors had established a comfortable cushion without needing to overexert themselves.

Arsenal eased off after the interval, allowing the Czech side to create a series of dangerous opportunities. Goalkeeper David Raya and the woodwork repeatedly came to the Gunners’ rescue as Slavia pushed to get back into the game.

The hosts finally found a breakthrough just before the final whistle, with Viktor Novak pulling one goal back. However, it proved too late to change the outcome, as Arsenal held on for a valuable away win and maintained their momentum in the Champions League.
