Atalanta - Lazio 1:1

Lazio have secured their place in the Coppa Italia final after a breathtaking semi-final victory over Atalanta, decided by a remarkable penalty shootout performance. The hero of the night was goalkeeper Edoardo Motta, who delivered an extraordinary display to send the Roman side through.

Just like the first leg, the match ended level after regular time. Alessio Romagnoli gave Lazio the lead with a well-timed finish from a corner, but the response was immediate as Charles De Ketelaere (Taylor) saw his effort deflect into the net to bring Atalanta back on level terms. The hosts dominated large spells of the game, yet frustration grew as VAR intervened twice to disallow goals from Ederson and Giacomo Raspadori.

Drama intensified late on when Edoardo Motta produced a stunning save to deny Gianluca Scamacca, tipping his powerful strike onto the woodwork. That moment proved pivotal, as Lazio held firm through extra time under relentless pressure.

The semi-final was ultimately decided from the spot. Despite misses from Nuno Tavares and Danilo Cataldi, the Lazio goalkeeper saved four consecutive penalties, sealing a famous victory for the “Biancocelesti.”
