Fiorentina - Como 1907 1:3

Como produced one of the standout performances of the Coppa Italia season, overturning an early deficit to beat Fiorentina 3–1 at the Artemio Franchi and secure a place in the quarter-finals.

The hosts made a bright start and were rewarded when Roberto Piccoli opened the scoring in the first half, finishing confidently from close range after a teasing delivery by Giovanni Fabbian. For a moment, it looked as though Fiorentina were in control.

That momentum shifted before the interval. Sergi Roberto, showing his experience on the big stage, reacted sharply to convert the rebound after the ball struck the post, bringing Como level and changing the tone of the contest.

After the break, the visitors took command. A defensive lapse proved costly for Fiorentina, allowing Nico Paz to capitalise and fire Como into the lead with a composed finish.

The night, however, belonged to Alvaro Morata. Introduced from the bench as he made his return from injury, the former Chelsea and Atletico Madrid striker put the result beyond doubt in stoppage time, calmly converting after a well-timed assist from Koundé. It was Morata’s first goal since May 2025.
