France cruise past Colombia as Desire Doue shines with a brace

France delivered a confident and composed performance in Washington, comfortably defeating Colombia 3–1 in an international friendly that served as a key warm-up ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
The standout performer of the night was Desire Doue of Paris Saint-Germain, who underlined his growing reputation with a clinical brace. The young forward opened the scoring early and later wrapped up the result with France’s third goal, showcasing both composure and attacking instinct.
In between Doue’s strikes, Marcus Thuram added his name to the scoresheet, further highlighting the attacking depth available to Les Bleus. With a commanding 3–0 lead, France eased off in the latter stages, allowing Colombia a consolation goal courtesy of Jhaminton Campaz.
