Brentford - Wolverhampton 2:

Brentford were left frustrated after surrendering a two-goal lead at home against bottom-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers in a dramatic Premier League encounter. What seemed like a routine victory for the hosts quickly turned into a test of resilience.

The Bees made a flying start, asserting control early on. Goals from Michael Kayode and newly capped Brazil international Igor Thiago put Brentford firmly in charge, delighting the home crowd. But Wolves, buoyed by recent statement wins over Liverpool and Aston Villa, showed they were far from done. Before the break, Adam Armstrong pulled one back, injecting fresh belief into the visitors.

In the second half, Brentford looked to regain control, introducing Yehor Yarmolyuk in the 68th minute to add energy in midfield. However, momentum had already begun to shift. On 77 minutes, substitute Tolu Arokodare made an immediate impact, firing home the equaliser to stun the home side.

The closing stages saw Brentford, currently sitting seventh, forced onto the back foot as Wolves pushed for a remarkable turnaround. Arokodare came agonisingly close to completing the comeback, rattling the crossbar in a heart-stopping moment for the hosts.
