Lyon - Paris FC 1:1

Olympique Lyonnais snatched a dramatic late draw against Paris Saint-Germain, converting a penalty deep into stoppage time to avoid defeat in a tense Ligue 1 encounter at the Groupama Stadium.

Head coach Paulo Fonseca opted for squad rotation ahead of upcoming European fixtures, leaving several key players on the bench and handing a starting opportunity to young prospect Imbert. However, the experimental Lyon lineup struggled to deliver the expected attacking spark. Despite enjoying the lion’s share of possession in the first half, the hosts looked blunt in the final third and failed to seriously trouble the visitors’ defence.

The opening period ended goalless, but Paris Saint-Germain emerged from the break with greater intensity. Their pressure paid off in the 62nd minute when Marshall Munetsi found the breakthrough, putting the Parisians on course for what seemed like a valuable away victory.

In search of a response, Paulo Fonseca turned to his bench, introducing experienced midfielder Corentin Tolisso and Ukrainian striker Roman Yaremchuk. The forward entered the pitch in the 58th minute but struggled to make a decisive impact in front of goal as Lyon chased the equaliser.

The drama unfolded in the dying moments. In the sixth minute of stoppage time, the referee pointed to the spot after a handball inside the Paris Saint-Germain penalty area. Up stepped Corentin Tolisso, who calmly dispatched the penalty to spark celebrations around the stadium.
