Thomas Tuchel commits to England until Euro 2028

Thomas Tuchel has agreed to remain as England head coach for a further two years, extending his tenure through to the summer of 2028.
While the decision has yet to be formally announced, The Times reports that confirmation is expected later this evening ahead of the draw for the 2026/27 Nations League group stage (18:00 CET).
Speculation in recent weeks suggested Tuchel could be tempted by a return to club management, with Manchester United still searching for a long-term solution on the touchline. However, it appears the German tactician has no intention of cutting short his international project.
The 52-year-old has been in charge of the England national team since 1 January 2025 and has overseen a remarkable upturn in form. The Three Lions stormed through World Cup qualifying, winning their group without conceding a single goal.
With Euro 2028 now firmly in his sights, Tuchel seems determined to see the job through — and to turn England’s renewed stability into silverware on home soil.
