The proposed move of N’Golo Kanté from Al-Ittihad to Fenerbahçe has collapsed due to delays on the Saudi club’s side. Al-Ittihad failed to complete the necessary paperwork in time, meaning the transfer could not be finalised.

As a result, Kanté will remain in the Saudi Pro League for the remainder of the season and is set to become a free agent in the summer.

It is expected that Fenerbahçe will make another attempt to sign the French midfielder at that point, this time on a free transfer. A contract running until 2028 had already been agreed back in January.
