Arsenal - Manchester United 2:3

Arsenal suffered only their third defeat of the Premier League season as Manchester United claimed a dramatic 3–2 victory in a pulsating clash at the Emirates Stadium. Despite the setback, Mikel Arteta’s side remain top of the table — but their cushion is shrinking fast. The Gunners now lead Manchester City and Aston Villa by just four points, adding extra tension to an already finely balanced title race.

Arsenal made a strong start and took the lead after an unfortunate own goal from Lisandro Martinez, giving the home crowd early reason to believe. However, the momentum quickly shifted. A costly mistake from Martin Zubimendi allowed Manchester United back into the game, restoring parity before the break.

The turning point came early in the second half when Dorgu unleashed a stunning long-range strike, putting United ahead and silencing the Emirates.

Hope returned for the league leaders in the 84th minute as Mikel Merino scored after a corner, levelling the score and setting up a tense finale.

But Manchester United had the final word. Deep into stoppage time, Arsenal’s defence allowed too much space on the edge of the box, and Matheus Cunha made them pay — striking a precise long-range effort into the corner to seal a dramatic 3–2 win.
