Marc-Andre ter Stegen Joins Girona
Girona and Barcelona have officially confirmed an agreement for the loan signing of Marc-Andre ter Stegen until the end of the current season, in what has become one of the most surprising transfers in LaLiga this year.
The German international goalkeeper, widely regarded as a modern icon at Camp Nou, will now wear the colours of the white-and-reds. Ter Stegen leaves Barcelona after more than 400 appearances for the Catalan giants, boasting an outstanding trophy haul that includes the UEFA Champions League and six LaLiga titles.
“This is a colossal reinforcement for our squad,” Girona said in an official statement. “Ter Stegen’s reflexes, calmness and elite-level experience will bring confidence and leadership to our defensive line at a crucial stage of the season.”
