Wonder Goal Rescues Brighton Against Bournemouth

Brighton & Hove Albion avoided defeat in dramatic fashion as a stunning late strike from teenage forward Charalampos Kostoulas earned them a hard-fought draw against Bournemouth in the Premier League.
The visitors struck first in the opening half. Marcus Tavernier calmly converted from the penalty spot after the referee overturned an initial booking for simulation following a VAR review, instead ruling that Brighton’s goalkeeper had committed a foul inside the box.
After the break, it was all one-way traffic. Brighton dominated possession throughout the second half, pinning Bournemouth deep in their own half, but the “Cherries” defended with discipline and frustration began to grow among the home supporters as chances came and went.
Then came a moment of pure magic. Late in the game, 18-year-old Greek prospect Charalampos Kostoulas produced an astonishing overhead kick while falling backwards, an acrobatic finish that left the goalkeeper helpless and the stadium in disbelief.
