Chelsea Beat Brentford and Reignite Their Push for the Top Four

Chelsea are back in the conversation for a UEFA Champions League place after a confident 2–0 victory over Brentford, a result that ended the club’s five-match winless run in the Premier League.
It was a dream league debut for head coach Liam Rosenior, whose side looked composed, purposeful and far more assured from the first whistle. The breakthrough arrived in the 26th minute when Joao Pedro produced a moment of real quality, unleashing a thunderous strike into the top corner to give the Blues a deserved lead.
Chelsea continued to control large periods of the contest, but Brentford threatened to turn the momentum with a spell of pressure. The visitors came closest through Kevin Schade, only for goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to come to his side’s rescue with a crucial save that preserved the advantage.
The defining moment of the second half came from the penalty spot. Showing trademark composure, Cole Palmer stepped up and coolly converted, doubling Chelsea’s lead and effectively sealing the points.
