Eight goals, eight different scorers and relentless momentum swings

Manchester United and Bournemouth delivered a festive football spectacle at Old Trafford, playing out a breathtaking 4–4 draw that will be remembered as one of the season’s most entertaining encounters. Eight goals, eight different scorers and relentless momentum swings — this was Premier League drama at its absolute finest.

The side coached by Ruben Amorim twice took the lead in a pulsating first half. Amad Diallo opened the scoring before Casemiro restored United’s advantage later on, with Antoine Semenyo briefly levelling the contest for the visitors in between. The tempo never dipped, and the sense that more goals were coming hung heavily in the air.

After the break, it was Bournemouth who seized control. In a devastating six-minute spell, Marcus Tavernier first turned provider for Evanilson, before stepping up himself to curl a sublime free-kick past the helpless goalkeeper. Suddenly, the visitors were in front — and Old Trafford was stunned.

Manchester United, however, refused to fold. Captain Bruno Fernandes dragged his team back into the contest with a sensational free-kick into the top corner, igniting the crowd. Just two minutes later, Matheus Cunha completed the turnaround, making it 4–3 and seemingly setting United on course for a dramatic victory.

But this match had one final twist. Junior Kroupi struck late to snatch a deserved equaliser for Bournemouth, silencing the home supporters and capping off a remarkable evening of football.
